Interesting Facts:Just as he was coming up through the cycling ranks, Matt Wilson was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease, a cancer that attacks the lymph glands. For the next two years, he successfully battled the disease. When Wilson bravely returned to the sport in 2001, it was almost as if he had never been away from cycling, and would twice go on to compete in cycling's greatest race, the Tour de France. Although an asthma attack on Stage 12 prevented him from finishing the race in 2003, he did finish the race in 2004 (144th place).
