The Tour de Georgia presented by AT&T, founded in 2003 by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, is officially sanctioned by USA Cycling (USA Cycling Professional Tour) and Union Cycliste Internationale (2. Hors Classe stage race). The official beneficiary is the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
WHEN: The sixth edition of the Tour de Georgia presented by AT&T will be April 21-27, 2008
WHERE: 7 stages with 590 miles of racing over 7 days and 12 Host Venues
STAGES: Tybee Island, Ga. - Start 10:30 a.m. Savannah, Ga. - Finish 1:00 - 1:45 p.m.
Stage 2: Tuesday, April 22 Statesboro, Ga. - Start 11:00 a.m Augusta, Ga. - Finish 3:15-4:30 p.m.
Stage 3: Wednesday, April 23 Washington, Ga. - Start 11:00 a.m. Gainesville, Ga. - finish 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Stage 4: Thursday, April 24 Road Atlanta/Braselton, Ga. (Team Time Trial) Gates Open 8:00 a.m. Race Start 1:00 p.m. - Finish 4:00 p.m.
Stage 5: Friday, April 25 Suwanee/Gwinnett Co., Ga. - Start 10:00 a.m. Dahlonega., Ga. - Finish 2:50-4:10 p.m.
Stage 6: Saturday, April 26 Blairsville/Union Co., Ga. - Start 11:00 a.m. Brasstown Bald Mtn/Towns County, Ga. - Finish 2:15-3:10 p.m.
Stage 7: Sunday, April 27 Atlanta, Ga. (Circuit Race) Start 1:00 p.m. - Finish 3:15 - 3:40 p.m. |
